Armada Hoffler was formed as a Maryland corporation in October 2012 to succeed to the business of its predecessor, which was a privately owned real estate business founded in 1979. Armada Hoffler has elected to be taxed as a real estate investment trust, or REIT, for U.S. federal income tax purposes.
